Cody Johnson

Cody Johnson wanted to be an actor, but it wasn't long before his love for music won him over. In 2011 he won the Texas Regional Music Award for New Male Vocalist of the Year.
His live shows built a reputation as some of the best energy in the Texas music scene. In 2019, Johnson made history at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo — selling out NRG Stadium on Saturday, May 15, becoming the first unsigned/independent artist ever to do so.
Bun B's H-Town Takeover

Bernard James Freeman — known professionally as Bun B — is a popular American rapper, actor and songwriter who embarked on his rap career in the late 1980s as a teenager and became one of the forefathers of the southern rap movement.
The Rodeo added his performance, Bun B's H-Town Takeover, for Black Heritage Day. "Celebrating Black Heritage Day with many of our city's own superstars should make for an epic night for Houstonians and Rodeo fans alike," said Rodeo President and CEO Chris Boleman.
Parker McCollum

Parker McCollum grew up in Conroe, Texas, just outside Houston. He started playing guitar and writing songs as a teenager, touring with other artists in high school.
His first release, "River Temple," was produced by Lloyd Maines; a limited 500-copy vinyl run sold out on Valentine's Day in 2014. With a résumé full of successes, he's made his mark as one of Texas' well-known country artists — and Chris Boleman officially welcomed his Rodeo debut.
George Strait

George Strait began his musical career in the mid-1970s, signing with MCA Records in 1981 after penning "Unwound," which became his first #1 hit.

2027 rodeo dates
The next Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo runs March 2–21, 2027 (its 95th year). Season tickets go on sale Tuesday, August 4, 2026; individual rodeo-and-concert sessions typically go on sale in January once the entertainer lineup is announced. If you'll hold seats you can't use every night, that's where we come in.
Seating & prices
The rodeo runs on a dirt floor with the rotating Star Stage in the center of the arena, so the layout is different from a Texans game. General seating tiers (2026 all-in season prices for reference): Field Level ~$69, Club Level (300) — end zones ~$74, sidelines ~$79, Loge Level (500) ~$53, and the Upper Level (600) ~$35–$44. Premium & hospitality areas
RodeoHouston's premium products are where the real money — and the best experiences — live. These are also the seats most worth selling if you can't attend:
- Chute Seats (presented by Cheniere): directly behind the rough-stock chutes, with access to the exclusive Champions Club (presented by Texas Mutual) — open bar, a dedicated chef, and a take-home "down-in-the-dirt" chair.
- Stage Left: the front rows of section 138 at the south end, right against the action, with Champions Club access.
- Action Seats: on either sideline of the arena floor for an up-close view, with rotating snacks and beverage service.
- Chairman's Club Party Deck (presented by AXS): a shared club space on the 700 level, south end zone — rotating-menu food, open bar, lounge seating and TVs, plus an assigned seat.
- Dirt Deck: the most exclusive option — a private on-the-dirt deck for 20 guests with Champions Club access, private bar and dedicated waitstaff.
- Heritage Club & Suites: a Club-Level lounge experience (groups of four or eight) plus full luxury suites on the 200 and 400 levels for larger groups.
Getting there & parking
NRG Park lots are cashless at about $25 per car (Yellow, 610 and OST lots, all with free committee-run trams). METRORail runs right to NRG Park at $1.25 one-way with late-night service during the rodeo, and rideshare uses the east end of Yellow Lot 35.
What you can bring
Unlike Texans games, the rodeo does not require a clear bag — purses and backpacks are fine as long as they're smaller than 24" x 15" x 18". No outside food or drink (medical and child exceptions), weapons, noisemakers, selfie sticks or recording gear during performances. Tickets are delivered as AXS Mobile ID through the RODEOHOUSTON app.
Nightly schedule
Weeknights: gates 6 p.m., rodeo 6:45 p.m., concert about 9:15 p.m. Weekends: gates 2 p.m., rodeo 2:45 p.m., concert about 5:15 p.m. Concert start times shift slightly depending on how the rodeo runs.
